GET A GRANT

Darryl Worley Foundation is calling for proposals to provide financial support to community-based organizations in West Tennessee serving  counties such as Hardin, McNairy, Wayne, Decatur, Lawrence, Alcorn, and Tishomingo. Awards are intended to support ongoing community support, serving in 4 focal areas: youth and future generations, disaster preparedness and relief, silver linings support (seniors and veterans) and Pathways to Healing (mental and physical wellbeing). Non-profit organizations requesting a grant can submit applications to the Foundation for any of these areas of giving:

  • Youth and Future Generations
  • Senior Assistance and Veterans Assistance

  • Pathways to Healing

  • Disaster Preparedness and Relief (open application process based on community need).

Grant Review Process

  • Applications will be reviewed by the Board 30 days after application is received; applicants will be notified either awarded or denied as soon as application is reviewed.
  • Applicants could be selected for a panel review process.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

Eligible applications must:

  • Be a US-based, 501(c)(3) public charity in North and West Tennessee and North Mississippi and serve counties such as Hardin, McNairy, Wayne, Decatur, Lawrence, Alcorn, and Tishomingo.
  • Have received their letter of determination from the Internal Revenue Service at least two years ago.
  • Grants must support specific programs or projects with relevant outcomes in alignment with the Foundation’s 4 giving areas.

Organizations cannot request support for the following:

  • Lobbying or Political Activities or Campaigns
  • New construction/real estate investment
  • Endowments
  • Scholarship, fundraising and staff salaries

Application Materials

Your complete application must include:

  • 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter
  • Copy of the organization’s latest W-9
  • Audited Financial Statements (if budget is 1million dollars or over)
  • Current year of your state Charitable Solicitation Letter
  • Current fiscal year operating budget
  • Project budget for the grant funding being requested
